
A BIT ABOUT ME
A native of Poland, Alina Rosevear studied piano at the Frederic Chopin School of Music in Opole, Poland and holds a Master of Music degree and Piano Performance Certificate from the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. She has done post-graduate work at the University of Nebraska, Kearney. Ms Rosevear trained in Suzuki Piano at the Chicago Suzuki Institute and is certified in Early Childhood Instruction by Kindermusik International.
Alina has performed throughout Europe and has an extensive repertoire covering the literature for solo piano, major works with orchestra, and chamber music.
Since coming to the United States, Ms Rosevear has been associated with numerous institutions including The University of Nebraska-Kearney, The University of Tennessee-Knoxville, Pellissippi State Community College, and Maryville College where she taught individual and class piano, accompanied student soloists, faculty artists, choirs, and opera workshops. In addition, she served on the faculties of the Suzuki School of Knoxville and the Maryville College Preparatory Piano Program. Presently, Alina has a thriving piano studio in Maryville and is an Instructor at the Bill Jones Music School in Knoxville.
Alina is a member of Music Teachers National Association, KMTA, Blount County Keyboard Teachers Association, National Guild of Piano Teachers, and the Knoxville Music Club. These organizations provide continuing education for teachers as well as festival and competition opportunities for students.
Ms Rosevear is a regular Judge for the Seattle International Piano Competition and Viennese Festival International. She also judges local piano auditions and competitions.
In addition to her busy teaching schedule, Alina serves as Pianist for Concord Presbyterian Church in Knoxville, TN.
Alina Rosevear is an active accompanist, chamber musician and teacher. She lives in Rockford with her husband, two collies and six cats. Alina loves gardening, travel, and girly times with her twin daughters.
